GARASU
SPRING/SUMMER  '20
This collection is inspired by the stained glass masterpieces of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright created for his "prairie" style homes. The word "garasu" is Japanese for glass, as Wright was inspired by traditional Japanese architecture and woodblock printing. The garments, prints, and fabric treatments I created take elements from Wright's work, his inspiration, and fashion from the time period during which he created these masterpieces: the turn of the century.
